Review of the TETFUND Act to Accommodate all Higher institutions,FG

Dr  Johnson Oyo ,has called for a review of the law establishing Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) to accommodate all tertiTer institutions in the country.. 

Oyo stated this at the conferment of honourary doctorate degree and award of excellence on some person's by American Heritage University of Southern California in Abuja. Among the awardees were Governor of Yobe state,Maiala Buni,Founder,shamies unusual Hearts Foundation,Amb Ambassa Saratu Abdullahi,Cor ordinator,Roce  Farmers Association of Nigeria,Kwara State chaptrr,Mallam Adamu Saba and others .

Ojo,who delivered a lecture on "Education Financing for Global Equity and InclusoIn",described Nigeria as one of the most defective countries in the area of giving special funds to institutions ,stressing that colleges of Health Sciences and Private Universities should also be beneficiaries of TETFUND interventions. Accordingly to him,Nigeria needs an educative system that acknowledges both public and private providers , including an accountability mechanism to strengthen service delivery among various stake holders.

Earlier on , President of Global Scholarship Trust ,Dr John Adeniyi ,said awareness reflects the various values and histories of the Universities as well as it's philosophy which is to prepare graduates to be socially responsible.
